Abstract
► Error processing is crucial for behavioral adaptation. ► Error-related potentials (ErrPs) can be extracted reliably from the human EEG. ► The error negativity varies between patients suffering from CNS pathologies. ► ErrPs are used to discriminate between correct and erroneous responses ► ErrPs thus have predictive validity for a wide range of applications such as BCIs.
