Abstract
⺠Startle responses are lowest when stimuli are presented 200-300 ms after an R-wave. ⺠Cardiac modulation of startle appears earlier in cardiac cycle after acute stress. ⺠Stress does not affect the amplitude of cardiac modulation effect on startle.
