Abstract
Organic electronics is growing to become an important new field in the global electronics market. RFID labels, flexible displays, solar cells, OLED-based lighting and displays are only some of the innovative products enabled by technologies based on organic semiconductors. Starting from a short overview of organic thin-film transistors research, this paper will concentrate on the recent developments in organic circuit design and on how the state of the art in this field can be further advanced with contributions from materials and processing research.
