Abstract
- Post-extinction exposure to a sub-conditioning procedure is known to reactivate extinguished fear.
- Here, we found that this fear reactivation was prevented by prefrontal tetanic stimulation.
- Prefrontal tetanic stimulation failed to prevent fear reactivation when it was provoked by acute stress.
