Abstract
⺠We examined the effect of estradiol on spatial memory function in an avian model. ⺠Estradiol enhanced spatial memory retrieval. ⺠The beneficial effect of estradiol was independent of discrimination training. ⺠Estradiol impaired spatial memory acquisition. ⺠Estradiol has different effects on spatial memory function depending on context.
