Abstract
⺠Effects of Pavlovian conditioned stimuli on instrumental behavior were studied. ⺠Serotonin transporter knockout rats were compared with wild-type counterparts. ⺠Transporter knockout resulted in perseverative responding to Pavlovian stimuli. ⺠Perseveration was associated with altered reactivity in corticolimbic circuitries.
