Abstract
⺠We assess how middle-aged rats solve spatial tasks using different strategies. ⺠We examine brain networks involved in spatial strategies in aging using PCA. ⺠Spatial processing network is composed of sensory and motivational brain regions. ⺠Context-dependent processing network involves the dorsal hippocampus. ⺠Both networks work together to solve spatial tasks in a complex spatial environment.
