Abstract
► Several neurotransmission systems are frequently related to memory formation. ► The role of transporters GABA, glutamate, dopamine and serotonin is poorly understood. ► GAT1, EACC1, DAT and SERT were down- and down-regulated by memory formation. ► Also amnesia and anti-amnesia produced specific patters of transporters expression. ► These transporters seem to be reliable markers of amnesic processes.
