Abstract
⺠mGluR1 is necessary for both complete memory consolidation and reconsolidation. ⺠Amnesia observed after mGluR1 inhibition is definitely due to disruption of reconsolidation. ⺠mGluR5 is necessary for memory consolidation and reconsolidation, and for recalling information. ⺠Recalling process is dependent on Ca2+ release from IP3-activated intracellular stores.
