Abstract
⺠Strain differences in memory forming ability. ⺠A neuron, RPeD1 known to be necessary for memory was studied. ⺠RPeD1 in the superior memory forming strain is 'primed' for memory formation. ⺠With training RPeD1 becomes less excitable. ⺠The less excitable state of RPeD1 is a neuronal correlate of behavioural memory.
