Abstract
⺠We examine the effect of septal lesions on spatial working memory in pigeons. ⺠Birds were tested in a radial maze analogue. ⺠Lesioned bird required more choices to reach baited feeders. ⺠The septal area is essential for spatial working memory in pigeons.
