Abstract
⺠Rats show vicarious trial and error when faced with changes in reward contingency. ⺠NMDA-receptor antagonist CPP blocked recognition of changes in reward contingency. ⺠CPP decreased preferential pausing at the choice point. ⺠CPP reduced vicarious trial and error behaviors at the choice point.
