Abstract
The performances of the three-parameter sine-fit algorithm depend upon normalized frequency accuracy. In this paper a constraint for the absolute error of the normalized frequency is derived to ensure that the dynamic parameters of an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) are accurately estimated by means of the three-parameter sine-fit algorithm. Carried out simulations confirm that, when the normalized frequency is known with an absolute error which satisfies the derived constraint, the three-parameter sine-fit algorithm can be used to obtain accurate estimates of the ADC dynamic parameter.
