Abstract

An new calibration service is described that aims to maintain the calibration status of a high-level electrical calibrator at the site of the user, with a minimum of human interaction and instrument downtime. Using self-calibration techniques and remote Internet control, the calibration status of the calibrator is continuously monitored in time. When the analysis of these results indicates that an external calibration of the instrument is required, this calibration can be performed using remote Internet control. The owner of the instrument can view the data and the resulting analyses of both the instrument monitoring and calibration via Internet.
