Abstract
⺠The ERP correlates of detected and missed semantic anomalies were investigated. ⺠Detected good-fit anomalies elicited an attenuated N400 effect. ⺠Non-detected anomalies elicited a generally less positive waveform 200 ms onwards. ⺠A number of possible explanations for non-/detection were ruled out. ⺠An N400 was evoked on the final word indicating delayed integration effects.
