► Speech production can be considered a marker of central nervous system integrity. ► Psychomotor changes occur in individual's with Huntington's disease before diagnosis. ► Speech performance differs in-line with disease state. ► Speech rate shows a significant correlation to burden of pathology scores. ► Data suggests that changes in speech production are developing prior to diagnosis.
