Abstract
⺠We examined whether perception of basic facial emotions is impaired in autism. ⺠The autism group had overall reduced selectivity in ratings of emotional facial expressions. ⺠In addition, there was reduced test-retest reliability in the autism group. ⺠Subtle yet significant abnormality exists in adults with high-functioning autism.
