AbstractIsolator, circulator and crossing waveguide devices based on two-dimensional magneto-optical photonic crystals were designed. The dispersion relation, mode distribution and transmission spectrum for these nonreciprocal devices were analysed using the finite element method. An isolator, a four-port circulator and a low-crosstalk crossing waveguide with a continual one-way transmission bandwidth of 10.6%, a circulation bandwidth of 4.7% and a low-crosstalk bandwidth of 16.6% were fabricated, respectively.
