Abstract
⺠Based on a numerical model, an edge-facet pumped asymmetric hexagonal disk laser is optimized. ⺠Due to special shape of crystal, this configuration allows the multiple pass of the pump beam. ⺠Absorbed energy efficiency, uniformity and disk temperature are triplet designing parameters. ⺠In compare, in this configuration, absorption efficiency and uniformity are improved. ⺠Results show this geometry is a high efficient configuration for thin gain lasers.
