Abstract
⺠Cross-cultural qualitative study exploring the complexities of fetal anomaly screening in Australian Aboriginal communities. ⺠First study to examine views about screening among Aboriginal women and their health care providers. ⺠Found providers supported equity in access but often modified their practice based on their client's characteristics. ⺠Aboriginal women wanted to be offered screening and advocated for culturally defined ways of sharing information. ⺠Provides a framework for community-based action to engage women in family and language groups to achieve informed choice.
