Abstract
⺠One of the first studies to use adolescent ratings of their neighbourhood social capital. ⺠Neighbourhoods with high levels of social cohesion and youth participation in community groups are associated with improved youth wellbeing. ⺠Neighbourhoods characterised by youth participation in community groups may minimise the impact of poverty on adolescent wellbeing.
