Abstract
⺠The longitudinal associations between individual and contextual levels of social capital and self-rated health were examined. ⺠Individual level perceived helpfulness and organizational participation were positively associated with self-rated health. ⺠None of the area level variables including social capital and socioeconomic deprivation were associated with self-rated health. ⺠The relatively large size of the administrative-area may hinder finding the significant associations at this level.
