Gender disparities in AMI management and outcomes among health professionals, their relatives, and non-health professionals in Taiwan from 1997 to 2007

► The first population-based study of gender disparity in cardiac care in Taiwan from 1997 to 2007. ► Results show significant gender disparity against women in treatment uses and one-year mortality in general population. ► In health professional and their relatives, results show similar gender disparities against women in treatment uses. ► Oppositely, no gender difference was found in survival outcomes in health professional and their relatives.
