Abstract
⺠Discusses and illustrates BWDCEs as a relatively new type of DCE method and their relevance to health services research. ⺠Discusses how BWDCEs relate to DCEs and best worst scaling tasks more generally. ⺠Offers guidance on undertaking and analysing a BWDCE including presenting a menu of approaches to analyse BWDCE data. ⺠Shows how preference and variance heterogeneity can be accounted for in the analysis of best worst data. ⺠Demonstrates BWDCE in an empirical application exploring preferences for treatment of cardiac arrest in a public place.
