Abstract
⺠The aim is to analyze the association between SES and drug utilization in Sweden, after controlling for health indicators. ⺠Uses The Swedish Prescribed Drug Register merged with the Survey of Living Conditions (the ULF). ⺠Contribute key findings to both the healthcare inequality literature and the drug utilization literature. ⺠The study finds a significant positive education gradient in individual drug utilization. ⺠The study indicates that the main reason for the education gradient in drug utilization is doctors' behaviour.
