Abstract
► The association of health and well-being with moving was found to be different among people living in rural and urban areas. ► Dissatisfaction with current life and adverse history of health problems were associated with rural-to-urban moves. ► A frequent use of health services was linked with urban-to-rural moves, which was possibly contributed by adequate health care in the countryside.
