Abstract
⺠Offers a novel critique of social constructionist and biomedical perspectives on the study of female sexuality after cancer. ⺠Uses social theory to explore barriers to clinical assessment of treatment-induced sexual difficulties in cancer follow-up. ⺠Examines socially constructed, biomedical and subjective elements of women's changed sexual lives after cancer. ⺠Provides an understanding of the complex reasons for limited progress in sexual rehabilitation within oncology.
