Abstract
⺠One in every two women in mega-cities is malnourished (either undernourished or overnourished). ⺠Overnutrition is higher among non-slum women whereas underweight is a key concern among slum dwellers. ⺠Income inequalities in underweight and overweight are higher in non-slum and slum areas respectively. ⺠Controlling for key factors, place of residence has no significant bearing on women's nutrition. ⺠Simultaneous prevalence of under and overnutrition suggests for a comprehensive urban nutritional plan.
