Análisis insumo-producto multirregional e integración económica del TLCAN. Una aplicación del método de extracción hipotética

The main aim of this paper is to analyse the dependence and integration in NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement), especially the inter-relationship of Mexico with the USA and Canada. For this purpose, the input-output tables at previous year prices were collected for 1995, 2002, and 2009. Subsequently, the Hypothetical Extraction Method was applied to calculate the backward linkages, the forward linkages, and the interregional feedbacks generated by the three countries.
