Abstract
► We numerically investigate the orthogonal optical chaotic division multiplexing. ► Two necessary conditions are defined to quantify the OOCDM. ► The chaotic characteristics are numerically analyzed. ► The OOCDM is robust to spontaneous emission noise and parameter mismatch.
