Abstract
The present essay is an exercise of quantitative economic history, in which the structure of the Mexican banking is analyzed over the period of nationalized banking and the subsequent re-privatization. To achieve such goal, it yields a taxonomic analysis, which provides statistical evidence to generate one model that explains the performance of the banking system over the period.
