Abstract
We demonstrate a modified contrast-stretching method to enhance a non-uniformly illuminated image. Low-frequency information of the image is processed by the conventional manipulation, while the high-frequency information is exaggerated by the log transformation. Characteristics in the picture are better enhanced compared to the traditional algorithm.
