In this paper, a study about the retrieval accuracy of particle size-distribution based on scattered light distribution is reported. A view is proposed that the ratio (L/RL/R) of the sample cell length (LL) to the cell—detectors distance (RR) affects the retrieval accuracy. The numeric simulation indicates that the larger the L/RL/R, the larger the retrieval error. Therefore, in future related measurement and studies, the ratio of L/RL/R must be taken into account.
