Abstract
⺠To drastically reducing obesity, a social movement is needed along with a variety of government antiobesity policy efforts. ⺠Obesity causes: external (technological change, infrastructure of obesity) and internal, individuals' intangible capital. ⺠Obesity is expected when vulnerable people (low intangible capital) succumb to external factors and poor eating and exercise. ⺠Needed antiobesity efforts are numerous and constitute a socio-economic transformation, reversing many negative behaviors. ⺠Resolving obesity requires a social movement spearheaded by grass-roots groups who understand magnitude of health threat.
