Abstract
⺠Experimental test of the importance of procedures for social choice. ⺠Appointment of proposers role by different procedures. ⺠Responders' procedural judgments influence their resistance against allocations. ⺠Resistance is significantly higher if unfair or undesired procedures are used to appoint a proposer. ⺠144 subjects took part in the cross-cultural comparison.
