Abstract

A target characterization sensor is proposed, which can obtain a three-dimensional (3D) structure, hyperspectrum, and complete Stokes polarization characters corresponding to the target pixel scale from the same viewpoint. This avoids matching information processes and improves target characterization precision. The target characterization sensor integrates the following: 3D structure detection obtained through the projection grating phase method; hyperspectrum acquired with the use of acousto-optic tunable filter (AOTF); and complete Stokes polarization acquisition based on liquid crystal variable retarder (LCVR). Experiments verify the feasibility of the characterization sensor. This work further supports the viability of the use of this target characterization sensor for both mechanism and application research in quantitative detection.
