Abstract
This paper presents the exclusive wireless communication system based on 2.4 GHz for biomedical signals. Different from proposed standards, this system is designed toward low power consumption, large channel number and easy integration. The specifications of this system are 40k bps transmission rate per channel, 20 m transmission distance, 0.001% bit error rate, 40 transmission channels and 20 MW power consumption in transmitter. The system powered by commercial battery had been integrated with electrocardiogram (ECG), acidity (PH), calcium, sodium, ammonia and potassium sensors for continuous healthcare monitoring. These chips are fabricated in TSMC 0.25 μm 1P5 M CMOS technology.
