Abstract
► A statistical model for a thin film relaxor is proposed and analyzed for the first time. ► Relaxor's depolarizing field is found to be attenuated with respect to the value for a pure ferroelectric. ► Field attenuation allows for the existence of a homogeneous ground state in a relaxor thin film.
