Abstract
⺠A statistical model for a thin film relaxor is proposed and analyzed for the first time. ⺠Relaxor's depolarizing field is found to be attenuated with respect to the value for a pure ferroelectric. ⺠Field attenuation allows for the existence of a homogeneous ground state in a relaxor thin film.
