Abstract
⺠We investigate the effect of hubs on community structure in scale-free networks. ⺠Scale-free networks with lowerα often have clearer communities. ⺠In the LFR benchmark, the effect of hub nodes could be scaled by the network size. ⺠Hub nodes are one reason for that scale-free networks often have fuzzy communities.
