Abstract
In the differential bipolar magnetotransistors (BMTs), at a very large temperature range, a magnetogradient effect is observed, consisting of a linear control of the sum of the two collector currents by the gradient of a non-uniform magnetic field, when this gradient is oriented along the intercollector length. Utilising this effect very promising integrated magnetogradiometer sensors with high spatial resolution determined by the short intercollector length in silicon BMTs were devised.
