Abstract
The article deals with fully digital compass based on AMR sensors and accelerometers. The developed device gives information about actual azimuth, roll and pitch. The article is especially focused on errors caused by sensors misalignment, cross-axis effect and temperature offset drifts of the sensors. The influences of these errors on the calculated values of azimuth are discussed. Methods to compensate these errors are presented. Compensation methods are not suitable only for digital compass but also for any other sensor triplet systems.
