Abstract
► A much-enlarged archaeobotanical dataset from Neolithic Ireland has been collated. ► Cereals were recorded at many locations, most often at earlier Neolithic sites. ► It appears cultivation plots were not managed under a shifting cultivation regime. ► A decrease in crop diversity is apparent as agriculture spread towards Ireland.
