Abstract
Based on a review of primary and secondary data, supplemented by oral tradition, this paper shows that there was direct technology transfer, through the Trans- Atlantic slave trade, from Obuasi in Ghana's Ashanti Region to Sabará Region in Mina Gerais, Brazil. The two regions were linked through African technical knowledge. The findings show that Africans have had a long tradition of technology which today has helped transformed communities in the Brazilian diaspora. Interactions also brought about cultural affinity between the peoples of Ghana and Brazil.
