► The Korean Chinese residents have a high tendency to settle in already established Korean Chinese communities. ► The communities are affected by housing factors, accessibility of jobs, and urban services. ► There is a pattern of spatial segregation in the residential location of the Korean Chinese. ► The Korean Chinese experience discrimination from native Koreans, although they have the same ethnicity and language.
