Abstract
⺠The settings approach has to varying extents been embedded in cross-sectoral policy and practice. ⺠Healthy Cities offers an infrastructure to connect settings, but these tend to remain siloed. ⺠The settings approach is determinants-focussed and can integrate effective advocacy for change. ⺠We must reconfigure the settings approach to ensure relevance to complex 21st century challenges. ⺠This requires us to maximise synergy between settings and with agendas such as sustainability.
