Abstract
ⶠBioconversion of lignocellulosics to biofuels generates excess of lignin. ⶠLignin can be converted to liquid fuels by pyrolysis, fragmentation and hydroprocessing. ⶠNew and efficient deoxygenation chemistries for lignin conversion need to be developed. ⶠSustainable chemistry needed to convert lignin to low molecular weight aliphatics and aromatics.
