Abstract
⺠We developed a farm typology based on biophysical and socioeconomic parameters. ⺠We explored main differences among the defined family farm types. ⺠Less endowed family farmers are less able to benefit from biodiesel markets. ⺠Lack of collective action and trust and crop specificities are main drawbacks. ⺠There is a claim for improved contracts and less specific biodiesel crops.
