Abstract
⺠Managing for carbon storage and carbon sequestration are not mutually exclusive in Midwest forests. ⺠Net carbon balance of Midwest forests is positive (carbon sink). ⺠Intense harvesting decreased carbon sink strength and carbon stored in vegetation.
