Abstract
⺠We estimated GHG emissions from rural land uses for the North East Scotland, UK. ⺠We described the steps undertaken to estimate GHG emissions from rural land uses. ⺠The estimates allowed the breakdown of GHG emissions from rural land uses into nine different source types. ⺠Agriculture represented about 98% of the total GHG emissions from rural land uses. ⺠A reliable assessment of GHG emissions from rural land uses at regional level, using published data and specific information for the region is feasible.
