Abstract
⺠We developed a method to assess sustainability indicators of options to remediate contaminated sites. ⺠The method is based on the principles of a cost-effectiveness analysis. ⺠The method has been developed by involving Austria's relevant stakeholder groups. ⺠The method has been implemented into practice and is mandatory to apply since 2012. ⺠First experiences indicate acceptance by practitioners.
